Age: 26
Hometown: Washington, D.C.
Family: One Husband, One Pug
Fitness level: I thought I was advanced till I found the Forum! Now I'd have to say that I'm high intermediate/advanced.
Collecting videos for: 5 years
Number of Videos Owned: 200+
Other Fitness Activities Trying to finish graduate school-brain fitness counts, right?
Current fitness goals: Going on a Cathe trip and making it through a live Cathe workout!
Loved ones' opinion of video habit: Very supportive. Our pug is fond of Cathe-whenever I do MIC she just lies on the floor and stares at the TV. (Sometimes I wish I was doing that instead of the workout!)

Underrated:

The fitness video market is very trend-oriented, and once a fad goes, instructors tend to disappear. I love funk tapes, but that trend seems to be over. The folllowing instructors were all really good and I wouldn't mind seeing them in more tapes: Barry Joyce, Victoria Johnson, and Malin Zaki.

Biggest Disappointments:

I've owned a lot of crummy videos, but Karen Voight's tapes are my biggest disappointment. I want to like Karen, but I just don't find her workouts fun or even interesting. I'm also not too fond of "celebrity" workout videos. They are usually really, really bad.

Would love to see:

Better music in exercise videos! I get tired of hearing the same soundtracks over and over again. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with the state of exercise videos right now. Intense Moves, Body Max, and Interval Max (can't wait for this tape!) should challenge me for a long, long time!

Words of Wisdom:

Relax! Eat some chocolates, read a trashy novel, and exercise to tapes you like. Life's too short-and exercise should be fun. Don't waste time doing tapes you think you should do. Exercise with the tapes you like!
