Laura's opinions:

Current Favorites:

Cardio:

Step Works - Cathe Friedrich: What can I say but FUN, FUN, FUN! (well, except for those wide lunges..)

PowerMax - Cathe Friedrich: Another terrific video. I love those drop squats in section three.

9704- Two Workouts with a Vengeance - Franny Benedetto: I just love both of the workouts, and Franny's personality is the best.

8003- Double Crunch Workouts - Jennifer Mills: Two more great workouts by a charismatic instructors with excellent cuing.

Total-body toning:

Body Max - Cathe Friedrich: This has got to be the toughest video out there - bar none.

Strongbody - The Firm: Still a favorite after hundreds of viewings.

Cory's Get Hard Arms & Shoulders: An awesome upper body workout from the queen of women's bodybuilding.

Spot toning:

Tamilee Webb's Abs, Abs and Abs: Three different ab workouts. Nothing special, but I really like this video for some reason.

Stretch/Yoga:

Yoga Journal's Yoga for Energy: Beautiful scenery and music add to a wonderful collection of poses.

Crunch Joy of Yoga: A more athletic and light approach makes this a great video for those who are leery of yoga.

Favorite Instructors

Cathe Friedrich
Franny Benedetto
Jennifer Mills

Underrated:

Cathe's Get In Shape for Your Wedding: I really enjoy the step portion, and it is perfect for days I also have personal training. The weight portion is good, basic, high rep stuff, perfect for beginners.

Biggest Disappointments:

Energy Sprint: I found this workout to be incredibly boring.

Would love to see:

Step videos with a long, 45-60 minute aerobic section. Tough abs at the end of each workout, and a longer stretch section.

Words of Wisdom:

Don't obsess over your weight. Exercise is the best way of encouraging a positive body image. Remember: your body is an instrument, not an ornament. Appreciate your body for what it can do, not for how it looks.
