Age: 35
Hometown: Linz, Austria (about half way between Salzburg and Vienna)
Family: single
Occupation: I work at a health club with three part time jobs: Running a Fitness boutique, teaching classes and some administration for the Club (designing info brochures at the computer, newsletter, etc.)
Fitness level: Intermediate in Aerobics/Step, Advanced in Body toning activities
Collecting videos 6 or 7 years
Number of Videos Owned: 110
Other Fitness Activities I currently teach about 8-10 classes a week and try to fit some additional weight and cardio training into my schedule.

Loved ones' opinion of video habit: My father lives with me but he is not interested in my fitness/video activities. Friends are mostly astonished to see all those videos - it seems to be a VERY unusual hobby in Austria!

Current fitness goals: I think my muscle endurance and definition are OK but I am trying to get more motivation to work on my strength and Cardiovascular fitness.

Wolfgang's opinions:

Current Favorites:

Karen Voights "Energy Sprint"
"Great Weighted Workout"
"Abs, Thighs and Buns Formula" by Martin Henry

Favorite Instructors

Karen Voight
Keli Roberts
Christiane Reiter (German Instructor)

Underrated:

Martin Henry. I found his Los Angeles Fitness studio during a holiday in 1993. He does great body conditioning with emphasis on good form (the video I mentioned above is 75 minutes of tough workout plus 45 minutes of instruction on form - unfortunately I think the video is not sold anywhere outside his studio now). I also met Keli Roberts and other great instructors at Martin Henrys studio - what inspiration!

Biggest Disappointments:

"Aerobicise" - I believe it is from the UK; some attractive female dancers show (partly dangerous) moves while the filming (including embarrassing close-ups) are "Playboy"-style.

Would love to see:

I often find a lot of chatting in the videos. It sure is important to get people motivated - I prefer video instructors who motivate and encourage the "cast members" around them rather than talking to the camera. That way it gets easier for me to identify with that group. Just my opinion. Finally I would like to thank you, Wendy, for providing this great place on the internet, where we can talk about many aspects of our lives. There is certainly more to a healthy lifestyle than doing fitness videos.
