  • Balletcise with Marguerite Porter --A wonderful intro to ballet that is simple to follow but challenging enough to really sculpt the muscles. Works every muscle group of the body in a manner that's both relaxing and exhilerating.
  • Kathy Smith's Step Aerobics --A great basic step tape for a cardio change of pace. Kathy is very motivational so it never gets boring, and her cuing is excellent as always.
  • The Perfect Balance Workout --A fabulous workout that blends a tai-chi warmup with salsa aerobics, karate aerobics, attitude aerobics, ballet aerobics and a yoga cooldown for a fun and challenging workout that's never boring. The four inspiring instructors (Donna Richardson, Lisa Gaylord, Gloria Quinlan and Stephanie Hermann) each have their own unique style. The sets and music are first rate.
  • Crunch Boot Camp --This new workout is a real winner with my busy schedule. Good old fashioned muscle toning moves that really work in a minimal amount of time and with minimal equipment. Very motivational with great music.
  • Raquel Welch's A Week with Raquel --An real oldie but goldie I couldn't live without. Features seven 15-minute yoga sessions (one for each day of the week)with favorite floor and standing poses. It's a perfect way to start or finish the day if you can only squeeze in a few minutes. It's a micro-workout for the entire body and soul.

  • Cardio Burn --Tamela shines in this one...i love the way i feel, when i am done i feel euphoric.
  • Yoga Journal's Energy video --Rodney Yee's flowing moves on the beach make me energized, flowing from cat to dog...i wouldn't mind kissing the beach.
  • Firm Tough Tape --Tracy Long..covers it all..and i would need to be Tough to be on a deserted island.
  • Precision and Power --Baron Baptiste knows how to get the kinks out.
  • Firm Total body Volume #6 --I can reflect back to the big hair and bright 80's...need a reflective day and some sunblock...ouch!

  • Kari Anderson's Angles Line & Curves --One of my favorite instructors, has stretch, pilates, yoga. A relasing workout on a desert island
  • The Firm Cardio Split #1 --For those days when I need a short, intense workout in case the island heat gets to be too much
  • Kathy Smith's Kickboxing Workout --For pure, kickbutt cardio fun, has a great stretch and some good supplemental exercises

  • CIA 9801 --Two TOTALLY fun workouts, this isn't an exercise tape, it's a party in a box! (plus I can crosstrain between step and hi-lo with just one tape!)
  • Firm Cardio --an oldie but a goodie, one of my favorite Firms, great all-over stregth workout.
  • Body Bar Sport Zone --Functional fitness at it's best, good core strength work, this tape will prepare me for all the physical rigors of living on a desert island
  • Stretch and Flex (Denise Austin) --This is a phenomenally thorough and relaxing stretch in 27 minutes, the atmosphere is very relaxing, Denise is actually quiet, and I feel great when I'm done.
  • Rock Hard Abs (Denise again) --I like Denise's ab workouts. This tape and The Firm's 5 Day Abs are my favorite and most frequently used ab segments. Denise in small doses is good for my soul.

  • "Easy Aerobics" by Greg Smithey --This is the best video for folks who have never exercised before. It's fun, throrough, easy to follow. I use it as a warm-up video for a toning or tougher aerobics tape.
  • Gilad "The Abs Workout" --This is the only abs tape I have tried that features a very thorough warm-up. Although the moves are not the most creative, this is certainly a fun tape and one I actually look forward to doing.
  • Gilad's "Fat Burning" --Basic but tough, I still use this 1990 tape about once a month!
  • Paula Abdul's "Get Up and Dance" --There are times when you gotta dance! Who cares that Paula is wearing chunky heels - she looks terrific!
  • Donna Richardson's "Donna-Mite" --Call me a baby-boomer, but I still prefer Motown music to Hip Hop. This tape reminds me of dancing to 45's with my friends. (Ten push-ups to anyone who doesn't know what a 45 is)

  • K. Voight Strong & Smooth Moves --Another great workout and intensity can be varied. Kills aerobics and total body sculpting in a little less than an hour.
  • Tae-Bo --Killer workout and leaves me dripping. Really sculpts my legs and glutes.
  • Claudia Schiffer Perfectly Fit Buns --Really has rid be of my trouble spot. Intense and effective.
  • Precision Toning --Gives you long graceful muscles. After endless crunches has really jump started the definition i see in my stomach. Keeps me really strong for ballet to. AMAZING!

  • Gilad, Best of Bodies in Motion --Just in case the desert island is devoid of nice looking men!! He's so fun and funny, and I feel like Trilla and Gail are my sisters.
  • FIRM:Standing Legs --You know, I'm beginning to think that if I'm on a desert island, do I really CARE how my legs look???? Maybe I'll lie on the beach all day and eat bananas instead... ;-)

  • CIA 9809 Kickbox Express --This is a great workout plus I get some conditioning at the end.
  • Latin Rythems Workout by Kathy Smith --This is a video I would take because it's a fun one!
  • Abs of Steel 2000 --It has the best abs I have done. I ignore the aerobics part though
  • Pure Strength - Chest Shoulders Triceps --Great workout for the upper body!!
  • Power Yoga #1 Bryan Kest --Need to stretch!

  • Tae Bo ALV4 --Fun Kickboxing with upbeat music and an enthusiastic teacher!!
  • Tae Bo ALV5 --Short Tae Bo standing workout followed by a long tough floor workout for the lower body. Billy calls it "Butt time!"
  • Tae Bo ALV6 --The best Tae Bo Live out there. Excellent kickboxing set to upbeat music.
  • BodyMax-Cathe Friedrich --This video rounds out the kickboxing. It has step, step circuit for the lower body and total upper body weights that are fast and really blast!
  • Firm Super Sculpt --I've got to have a fun Firm workout. This one is my favorite so far!

  • FIRM Tortoise --Gotta bring Tracy Long! Guess you could say I'm a firm Believer! Love these tapes!
  • FIRM Hare --I'd feel sad without it for those lighter days. My cardio would consist of walking along the beach!

  • CIA 9905 with Franny Benedetto --Great fun, plus it's two workouts on one tape! One hi-lo, one step, both pretty intense
  • CIA 9807 with Shannon and Alison --moderate intensity floor aerobics, mostly low impact (or modifiable to low impact) for days when I'm not bouncy enough for 9905!
  • CIA 5004 with Christi Taylor --Just because I love Christi and its a FUN one, another half step, half hi-lo workout
  • Intense Moves with Gin Miller --I just love this woman, love this tape, it's modifiability makes it very versatile and Gin is good company
  • Best of Bodies in Motion with Gilad --Ah, nostalgia, Gilad got me off the couch initially and I still find his aerobics SO doggone fun and his ab routines the best. OH MY, did I forget STRENGTH TAPES??? Aw, shucks. Stuck on a desert island with just cardio! Silly me. Oh well, guess I'll just have to live with it!

  • Cathe Friedrich's BodyMax --Challenging 90 minute workout including step, circuits with lower body strength, upper body strength, and abs - also can be split up into a number of different shorter workouts.
  • Cathe Friedrich's PS series --I'm probably cheating here because this includes 3 tapes but these are excellent advanced weight tapes.
  • Gin Miller's Intense Moves --Excellent interval workout!!!
  • CIA 9902 with Keli Roberts --Fun Kickboxing workout with added strength work at the end (using rubber tubing).
  • Keli Robert's Ultimate Step --This is for those days I just want to lessen the intensity and work out with an old favorite - plus it has a great ab section at the end.

  • cathe's bodymax --total body conditioning, absolutely killer leg-strengthening/interval section (my favorite!), couldn't ask for anything more in a video
  • FIRM Cardio --also a total body strengthening tape that is well-cued, has smoother transitions, and a grueling table work segment
  • Christi Taylor's Happy Hour Hi/Lo --great choreography that is not difficult to follow, intense workout, great ab segment
  • Intense Moves by Gin Miller --great interval training tape, the best and most fun
  • FIRM Sculpted Buns, Hips and Thighs --for those days when i really don't feel like exercising, this video gets me through with minimal torture. the workout is tough, but since it is all floor work, i am quite comfy in that position, especially when i am feeling ill or lazy.

  • FIRM Maximum Body Sculpting --Even when I'm feeling like a real sludge, I can always motivate myself to work out with Tracie Long--and I can take my stability ball for my "modifications," right?
  • CIA 9806: A Step Workout --Mambos and spinning around and I can't seem to get enough of Shannon and Alison.
  • Maximum Intensity Strength --Hits all the muscles with high intensity in a relatively short period of time.
  • Your Best Body: Abs & More --After three surgeries, this is the only abs workout that has allowed me to build strength without pain.
  • FIRM Tough Cardio Mix --Not too terribly difficult choreography or intensity-wise. Perfect for lighter days and it's fun!

  • Cathe Friedrich's Pure Strength Series --Can an entire series count as one selection? .... I know, I know .. but please understand that it's hard to pick just one.
  • The Firm: Tough Tape (One) --My all-time favorite FIRM tape. Featuring one of the best fitness istructors on video.
  • Tae Bo Live Advanced Series Vol II --Fun, intense kickboxing that leaves me dripping and tones those legs. Great music, too.
  • Karen Voight: Energy Sprint --An relatively low impact, killer interval step workout. This workout deserves its place in the Hall of Fame.
  • Cathe Friedrich: Body Max --If I could only choose one Desert Island video, this would be it. It has it all -- fun cardio and weight training at an advanced level. (Cathe has the best video music, too.)

  • Cathe's Body Max --After I do this tape, the next day I feel stronger.
  • Firm Vol 1 --I use it as a measure of my fitness. If I can make it through the floor work, I am doing well.
  • Karen Voight Energy Sprint --Simple but intense cardio

  • FS and FC --The best cross trainers the firm has every made

  • CIA 9907 "kick-it" w/janis saffell --ilove to kickbox. janis is a my favorite instructor. great music and choreography.
  • CIA 9809 kickbox express w/janis saffell --again, great instructor, music, and choreography. i also like that CIA video durations are long.
  • all Taebo tapes --good for quicker workouts, and i still get to kickbox. kickboxing videos are good because they don't require any special equipment.
  • CIA 9701 step w/donna read --she's next on my list of favorite instructors. one of the few step tapes i really have fun doing.
  • the FIRM tough tape 1 w/tracie long --thorough total body weight training in under 40 minutes. fast paced, keeps you motivated.

  • Firm Lower Body Split --Total lower body workout that targets all parts of the lower body with standing and floor work.
  • Pure Strength Back,Bicep Abs by Cathe Friedrich --This is the best back,bicep and abs workout on video. It totally has strengthened my abs.
  • BodyMax by Cathe Friedrich --This is the best total body workout. It has step, step with leg circuit and total upper body with tough abs.
  • Firm Core Cardio 2 --Tough cardio with light weights and super upbeat music! Gives me a great sweat and I love all 3 instructors!

  • Firm Strength --my fav Firm (and I love them all). Love the sequencing in this one, plus I can go heavier on the weights than in some.
  • CIA 6004 --Love the hi-lo! And if I'm stranded for long, I might finally get around to trying the step and "chisel" sections :-)
  • CIA 8001 --Fun step, and I'll have time to work on my "funky" hi-lo moves until I get rescued. Gotta have those CIA multiple workouts -- more bang for the buck! Important when you only get to take five tapes.
  • Baron Baptiste - Power and Precision --Great yoga tape; cool instructor. Plus, it's easy to break into sections.
  • Stretch and Flex with Eric Zimmer --Unique, almost aerobic dancy stretch. Makes me feel like a rag doll when I'm done.

  • Cathe's Step Jam --Cool choreography, tough workout, great to blow out the cobwebs on a Monday
  • Cathe's Maximum Intensity Strength --Awesome strength video to rival any gym routine
  • Cathe's Body Max --The best of both -- cardio and strength. A perfect workout for a Cathe addict!
  • Ali MacGraw yoga mind and body --This is the only yoga workout that really leaves me feeling centered and at ease... great stress reliever

  • Cathe Freidrich Get In Shape for Your Wedding -- Two workouts in one, cardio and total body strength, and I LOVE this cardio workout.
  • Cathe Freidrich Step Heat -- I think I'm spelling Cathe's name wrong now that I'm looking at it, but I love her step workouts and that fun, fun, funky cooldown is a MUST HAVE.
  • Gilad's Fat Burning Workout -- Can't be stranded on an island without Gilad, and this is a fun non-step workout for days when I get lonely.

  • Susan Powter's Lean, Strong and Healthy -- I lost my first 60 pounds doing this video; good benchmark workout.
  • Reebok's Intense Moves with Gin Miller -- I love Gin Miller and this is a great interval training workout.
  • Keli Roberts' Ultimate Step -- I have a lot of fun with this workout.
  • Abs of Steel with Tammilee Webb -- I have tried other abs routines but there are none that I like better than these three basic routines.
  • Yoga for Reflexibility with Patricia Walden -- I really enjoy the quiet, relaxing workout that this tape gives me.

  • Kathy Smith Kickboxing -- I love Kathy's teaching style, it's a challenging,but fun workout.
  • Rodney Lee's Yoga for people with back pain. -- It has increased my strength and flexibility.
  • Flo- Jo's workout Viedo -- It's a low-impact fun workout and Flo-JO makes it more intersting by her enthuisiam.
  • Kathy Smith's Power step -- It's great, it gets your heart rate going and is lots of fun, her cueing and routines are excellent.
  • Janis Safell, Kickboxing Viedo -- It's a killer workout that gets you sweating in no time. Improves coordination and strenth.


Tracey U

  • The Ballet Workout w/Melissa Lowe -- The flexibility and form one can achieve with this tape is amazing! I could do it every day.
  • The Ballet Workout II -- Builds on the moves of the first tape. It is challenging enough to keep me motivated.
  • Streamline Fitness by Karen Voight -- Karen's likability alone could keep me using this tape, but I also enjoy it for it's unusual toning & yoga moves.
  • The Firm: Aerobic Interval Training -- Any Firm video would do, but this is one of my faves because of the variety. Also, Sandahl Bergman is great!
  • The Method: Precision Toning -- I couldn't see improvement in my stomach definition before trying this tape. The moves are different and Jennifer Kries is a great instructor.

  • Gilad's step and tone -- Because it's fun,and leaves me with engery.
  • Gilad's Best of Bodies in motion -- It's a good workout and it shows you the different places in hawaii.
  • The Odd couple 2 -- because it is a really good movie.
  • The basic training Workout -- It's a challening workout, and fun workout.
  • Gilad's Split Routine workout -- I really enjoy Gilad's style and he is a great instructor!!

  • Tae Bo: Advanced Workout -- I have worked out for a long time, and Tae Bo makes me move and sweat and feel good in ways, i didn't think possible
  • Denise Austin's: Arms and Bust -- This is a great toner, without too much bulky and just enough tightness
  • Paula Abduls: Dance... -- This is a great way to mix up your routine a little, and keep it new and fun
  • Ab Machine: Brenda Dycraft -- THIS REALLY WORKS!! after having two babies, i just didn't think i would get rid of the "pooch" but i did!
  • Tae Bo: Basic -- Just for those days, that you don't feel quite up to a two hour regimen this is great to get you fit and energized

  • Interval Max (Cathe Friedrich) -- When I finish this incredibly challenging cardio workout, I feel like I just won an Olympic Gold Medal.
  • Power Kicks (Aaron Lankford) -- I love to kick -- it's completely different and completely fun!
  • Pure Strength: the whole series (Cathe Friedrich) -- Okay, I know this is 3 tapes, but they are the greatest!
  • Power Yoga, Vol. 2 (Bryan Kest) -- This tape humbles me, but I love it.
  • Step Works (Cathe Friedrich) -- Because I love the skip across, the power mambo, the uneven lunges, the cooldown, all of it!

  • Step Reebok-the video with Gin Miller -- It's a good, basic step workout. I like Gin Miller. She is by far the best teacher.
  • Paula Abdul's Get Up and Dance -- Fun. It was challenging for uncoordinated me to learn and when I did I felt a great deal of accomplishment. There is also a good ab toning segment at the end of the tape.
  • Jane Fonda's Work out with Weights -- An oldy, but a goody. All muscle groups get a work out without strain because so much emphasis is placed on good form. Don Issacson is easy on the eyes.
  • Power Yoga for Beginners with Rodney Yee -- It's 20 minutes long and it makes me feel good. I do this one almost every day. I have seen alot of improvement in my own flexibility that I did not find with other yoga videos.
  • Reebok Aero Step -- I just really love this tape. It is fun and energizing. I know, it's another Gin Miller, but she really is the best at this type of workout.

  • Low Impact, High Intensity (Charlene Prickett) -- This gets my heartrate up, but can also be modified if necessary.
  • Abs N' More -- Good back/abs strengthening exercises divided into several levels of difficulty.
  • AM Chi/PM Chi -- I might need some serious relaxation time after all that hunting and gathering.

  • FIRM Core Cardio 2 -- Fun high impact aerobics and also uses light weights to tone the upper body. Super upbeat music and the time flies by.
  • FIRM Bust and Butt -- This tape is fast and has a lot of pushups in it. You get both upper body weight training and lower body in one video.
  • FIRM Better Buns -- This has the tall box which will compliment Bust and Butt. I love the exercises in this video as well as the music.
  • FIRM Maximum Body Sculpting -- If I go really heavy on this workout, I am dripping with sweat at the end. I can always rewind and do the abs twice.
  • Cathe Friedrich Body Max -- This video not only pushes you cardiovascularly but also has my favorite Cathe upper body weight workout and abs.

  • Maximum Intensity Strength by Cathe Freidrich -- 90 minutes of JUST strength-training. Intense, but "adjustable" for all levels of fitness
  • StepWorks by Cathe Freidrich -- Highly advanced and intense Step vid. Fun, fast and not too complicated. Always "adjustable", like most of her other videos
  • Maximum Intensity Cardio by Cathe Friedrich -- Very intense floor cardio segment for half an hour, followed by a very intense Step segment for half an hour. Great stuff.

  • FIRM Basics Fat-Burning -- Although I find this workout to be a little bit to "low" aerobics wise, it is perfect when I have pushed it too hard with my other tapes. And it is a perfect compliment to combine with any other fitness routine a person does. My favorite combo is this with Power Reebok.
  • FIRM Strength with Tracie Long -- When I first tried this tape, I had a hard time making it through. Now I know I need to pyramid the weights, especially during the military presses and bicep curls.
  • FIRM parts Standing legs -- During total body workouts I use 20 pound dumbells for leg presses, lunges, dips, and squats. I start standing legs using these weights, but by the final set of hover squats I am luck to be using ten pound weights.

  • Firm Standing Legs -- With all those leg presses, squats, lunges, and dips, my legs are always thanking me the next day. Plus, the added weight work makes it twice as challenging.
  • Reebok's Intense Moves -- The intervals are very difficult, and if you push yourself to the advanced level, it's one heck of a workout!
  • Firm Tough Aerobic Mix OR Aerobic Interval Training -- These videos - although different in length - have me dripping sweat by their completion. They both combine weights with aerobics(a FIRM trademark) and they both use a variety of moves, although easy to learn. Great stuff!

  • CIA Kickbutt Cardio Combat-Keli Roberts -- This is a tough fun kickboxing workout that works the lowerbody too and it also has a nice 15 minute stretch which I love! This is my favorite kickboxing video for this week but when the new Tae Bo tapes come out, it will probably change!

  • Reebok Power Blast -- I only bought this 'cause it was on sale. I'm not a big fan of step, but I know Reebok has good workouts. After the first run-through, I thought, "Lisa Gaylord is my idol!" It's not so hard that I feel like I'm dying, but it's a good workout that works my muscles and my heartrate. Just add some abs, and it's a complete workout!
  • The Firm Volume 2 -- I am a total Firm groupie! And I have a soft spot for this one, 'cause it was my first Firm video. Like Rev Up, I've had it for ten years, but since I'm always increasing my poundage, it's always a challenge.

  • Advanced Tae Bo -- Just incase someone tries to take over the Island, I can fight them off.
  • Body Max -- For when I eat too many coconuts and put on a few pounds, this tape will put me back on track.
  • Baron's hot yoga level 2 -- For those relaxing evenings under the stars.
  • CIA 9809 -- You can never had too many good kickboxing tapes.
  • Firm vol. 1 -- I just can't live without it!!!!

  • Donna Richardson's 4-day Rotation workout -- It has 4-quick workout's one for arms(with weights)then one for thighs,butt,and then abs.If i want to tone my whole body it takes only an hour.
  • Denise Austin's super stomachs -- It is an advance 15 minutes of abs. It is the only ab video that makes me sweat.
  • Claudia chiffer's perfectly fit legs. -- It is the best leg workout. It is complete with the front and back of legs in addition to the inner and outer thighs.
  • Claudia Shiffer's Perfectly fit arms -- It work all of the muscle groups in my arms and strengthens my shoulders and back.
  • Rachel hunter's power conditioning -- It has a good warm up and ab routine along with some upperand lower body. Also it is quick

Decided it was time to review my selections, given all the great tapes that I've discovered since a year and a half ago when I last made my list. My current selections are:

  • CIA 9801 -- Christi Taylor's sunny disposition and her mind-boggling choreo would be perfect companions if I'm ever stranded
  • Intense Moves -- the one interval workout I'll never outgrow.
  • Yoga Journal for Energy -- Hey, I could even join in with Rodney and company and do this one on the beach! I like the 5 short segments designed to be done at different points in the day.
  • PowerMax -- Cathe keeps cranking out great tapes, but this one is still my favorite step video.

  • Body Max/ Cathe Friedrich -- Fun complex stepping with weight training for your total body, who could ask for anything better?
  • CIA 9809/Janis Saffel -- I just love kicking and punching the stress away and I love to do kickboxing on day's when I don't do step for crosstraining
  • Firm Standing Legs -- Tall box! Tall Box! Need I say more?
  • Firm 1 -- Very fun and very tough floor work that is a burner!
  • Step Works -- Excellent cardio step workout with no boredom.

  • MIS--Cathe F -- Just the chest section makes this video worth the money I paid for it!!
  • FIRM Vol 1--Susan Harris -- I came to this tape after using the FIRM for several months so I had the form pointers down. The time FLIES when I use the tape (tough floorwork!!!)
  • FIRM Strength--Pam Cauthern -- Only tape where my triceps (hard to train muscle part) are BURNING!!!
  • FIRM Tough Aerobic Mix--various -- Discovered this tape recently. Don't like any complex aerobic moves, but like to sweat. I got what I asked for in this tape!
  • Navy Seals Total Body Workout--Scott Halvenston (sp?) -- Do you know how TOUGH I feel after doing this workout? Plus, I was impressed that my man (in the Army) had a hard time with the Advanced section.

  • Intense Moves -- Although I don't look forward to doing it, I feel like I've really accomplished something afterwards even if I am tomato-faced.
  • BodyMax -- It's got everything! A great step workout, a circuit-type/interval workout, abs, and weigts all on one tape--and with Cathe's great cueing I don't need anything else.
  • Power Kicks by Aaron Lankford -- I love this tape! Although the girls are a little shall we say "hokey" the workout itself is excellent. I love the back kicks especially and my butt burns afterwards.
  • Bryan Kest Volume 1 Energize -- While Volume 2 is more difficult, I feel more elongated and relaxed after this one. I love the music and Mr. Yummy Pants is nice to look at.
  • Firm Tough Tape One -- This was hard, I have to have my Firm and almost picked Standing Legs, but this gives me the best of both worlds, a tough upper body and lower body workout, and with Tracie Long who's one of my favorite Firm instructors.

  • Cory Everson: Get Hard Arms -- Really gets my arms and shoulders STRONG and PUMPED.
  • CIA 7004(?) All Star, All Step -- 3 good step workouts on one tape.
  • Kathy Ireland: ABSolutely fit -- Ok, she's corny, but I like the variety of ab work.
  • FIRM: Tough Tape -- Ahhh, I can FEEL it!
  • Karen Voight: Energy Sprint -- Cardio and light toning all-in-one.

  • Tae Bo -- I can do the workout I love, with the instructor I love (Billy Blanks), with bare feet in the sand!
  • CIA 9701 -- This is my favorite step tape.
  • Firm - Cardio -- This is my favorite Firm tape
  • CIA 9801 -- As long as I am stranded, I may as well use the time to learn this choreography.
  • Firm volume 6 -- Those tall-box presses are killer!

  • Tough Tape -- Awesome tape! Tough leg work - yet does not displace my knee caps like Standing Legs!
  • Cardio -- Great alternate for Strength
  • Strength -- Great tape - time just flies by! The brunette class participant with the light blue top makes faces just like me during this workout (just wish my body looked like hers too...)Great lat work.
  • Standing Legs -- Although my knees are like jello for two days afterwards - gotta say it works!!
  • Not so Tough Aerobics -- Good intensity in my heartzone for the SLUG days..

  • FIRM All Weights- Tracie Long -- This is a great total body workout that also has aerobics but isn't as intense as Cathe's Body Max.

  • The Firm Total Body Complete Aerobic Weight Training -- Great Video, excellent workout. Needs a lot of "tools" though (ie. barbell, fanny lifter, etc).
  • The Firm Crosstrainer Firm Strength -- Great instructor, well rounded workout.
  • In Shape with Rachel McList -- Demonstrates good form and posture, really good cueing. Nice total body workout

  • KAI (Karate integrated aerobics) -- Powerful, energetic moves, an enthusiastic instructor, and uesful self -defense component (who knows who else may end up on the Island?)
  • FIRM Total body scupting -- Good instructor, good variety of moves, never gets boring, and music is better than some previous FIRM efforts.
  • A Cathe Freidrich video (any) -- High intensity step workouts, with a wonderfully charismatic instructor who makes not-so-simple choreography easy to follow.
  • Stephanie Steele's boxing workout -- A no-frills, intense upper-body workout that helps firm that jiggly area!
  • Intense Step with Gin Miller -- Wow, wow wow! Energy through the roof (and with the time I have to spend on the island, maybe I'll eventually make it to doing the whole thing at highest intensity!)

  • Kathy Smith�s Fat Burning Workout -- The power bursts break up the aerobics sections and add some variety. My hear is really pumping and Kathy is a terrific instructor.
  • Karen Voight & Elle MacPherson/Your Personal Best -- This is a classic. I�ve been doing it for 3 years and it�s still a great workout for aerobics with strength training. Music is good and scenary is interesting. Karen and Elle make a good team.
  • Gilad/ Fat burning workout -- Gilad is a fun instructor and the workout is packed from start to finish with high and low level aerobics. It�s a great all-aerobics video.

  • Ali MacGraw Yoga Mind and Body -- Besides being aesthetically pleasing it is also a tape that leaves you feeling energized and relaxed.
  • The Firm Total Fat Blaster -- A challenging aerobics tape with no repetitive moves.
  • The Firm Tough Tape 2 -- A real kick butt total toning tape, that will produce results.
  • Bryan Kest Power Yoga 1 -- A yoga tape that borderlines cardio.

  • Firm Strength -- This is one of my favorite tapes, I feel like it hits every body part.
  • Firm Cardio -- If I could only do two tapes I would do these 2 -I always do them together (on two consecitive days.) Great cross-trainers.
  • Karen Voight- Great Weighted workout -- Light weights-but hits every muscle. Good floor work as well.
  • Gin Miller- Intense moves -- This one makes me sweat like no other. I feel like I've accomplished something when I finish this tape.
  • Firm Fat Blaster -- My newest fav. A good fun workout.

  • Intense Moves w/ Gin Miller -- This is such an awesome workout...it's great for improving cardio capacity and Gin is a goddess.
  • Maximum Body Sculpting -- This video has replaced Vol 4 (Time Crunch) as my favorite short strength-training workout.
  • Maximum Intensity Strength w/ Cathe Friedrich -- This is the BEST, most thorough strength-training workout, and I couldn't leave it behind.
  • CIA 9001 w/ Patrick Goudeau -- My favorite cardio tape of all time.
  • The Firm: Tough Cardio Mix -- I have to have something that's low-key, even though there are other cardio tapes that I enjoy more.

  • Tough Tape -- Tough lower body workout. Love those tall box presses.
  • FIRM Parts Upper Body -- To even out the parts Tough Tape misses. (I wish the Parts tapes had abs)
  • Maximum Intensity Cardio -- I like the variety of floor and step. And, in case this is a very tiny desert island, this workout takes very little floorspace.
  • CIA 8005 -- More cardio with a great toning workout at the end.
  • Donna Richardson 4 Day Rotation Workout -- I can tag one of these workouts onto the end of a walk (or ocean swim!)

  • Firm Strength -- This workout is tough but a lot of fun!
  • NAC Interval Challenge -- It may be short but it's a fantastic cardio tape.
  • MIS with Cathe -- Tough, tough, tough!
  • Sweat Factory with Petra Kolber -- For those days when I don't feel like working out hard and want to have some fun.
  • Crunch Joy of Yoga -- When the island gets to me I can relax with this video. :)

  • Maximum Intensity Strength -- This tape will builds strength--I would need to develop enough upper body strength to climb those banana trees and crack my coconuts!
  • Step Fit -- This is "funnest" cardio workout I've ever done. It is fun, challenging, tough, and interesting. I love it!
  • Intense Moves -- Need it to build my cardio endurance in case I have to swim to my rescue boat!
  • Better Body and Buns -- This is starting to be a great favorite with me--I like the different moves incorporated into the workout as well as the different instructors. I even like the ab/breathwork.
  • All Weights -- Well, I need to bring Traci along with me and this is my current favorite by her!

  • Firm 1- Susan Harris -- Toughest lower body work and yes I LOVE the tuba music on the french press!
  • CIA 9801 Christi Taylor -- I do my slide on her hi/lo and it is so fun! Her step workout also is funnest and gets my endorphins to kick the stress out of my body!!
  • Maximum Body Sculpting -- I love the tall box work and music in this workout and I also love Tracie Long.

  • The Grind Hip-Hop Aerobics -- I love this tape because it is "fun" and that's exactly what I needed this week -- to have fun while trying to get back into shape.
  • Keli Roberts Abs and More -- Yikes do I have a lot of work to do now. But it's back to square one and I want to do it right. This is the video that will do it for me.

  • Keiser Race and Pace -- I always sweat buckets and burn tons of calories with this video!
  • Cathe Friedrich-Maximum Intensity Strength -- This is just a great total body strength training video and I can really load up the weight for a real challenge.

  • Karen Voight's Energy Sprint -- This will be an all-time favorite because it makes me SWEAT.
  • The Firm Strength -- This video builds strong muscles effeciently and burns fat.

  • Maximum Intensity Strength -- THE best strength workout I have ever owned. I absolutely love this tape.
  • CIA 9801 -- Such a fun cardio workout! And Christy seems to be having as much fun as me.
  • CIA 9001 -- My absolute favorite cardio tape (and has been for some time now). Patrick is soooo much fun.
  • The Firm: Tough Tape -- Short and brutal (using heavy weights)
  • Firm Strength -- I think it's the Firm's best total body workout.

  • Firm Boomers Video - Jayne Poteet -- I love Jayne's style of instruction - very friendly. Her cuing is right on target. Excellent squat section.
  • Firm Standing Legs -- By far the toughest leg video I have ever done. 'Nuf said!
  • Len Kravitz's Super Abs -- Although the set and music is corny, the workout is supreme.
  • Any Good Advanced Step Video -- I'm still in the process of trying out new step videos, so I can't really say which one at this time. However, I would take at least one good, advanced step video.

  • Kathy Smith "Power Step" -- This is tied with Reebok Intense Moves, but I chose this one because it's a bit longer and a little less intense.
  • FIRM "Volume 4" -- Everything you need in one video in only 42 minutes!
  • Keli Roberts "Ultimate Fitness" -- Keli has such a fun attitude, although those arms get boring after a while.
  • FIRM "Hare" -- I love (almost all) the dance steps. I use a 8 inch steps and rewind doing all the aerobics twice. This is tied with FIRM Cardio.
  • Cindy Crawford "The Next Challenge" -- Laugh if you will, but this covers all the muscles and the music & scenery are great.

  • Tamilee Webb's Quick Arms and Abs -- She has three workouts on the tape that, in 15 minutes, provide a nice upper body/abs workout for Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Tamilee's a nice person to work out with, and the 15-minute workout provides a nice start to a day's fitness.
  • Crunch Master Class Aerobics -- Michael Perron says in the first segment something to the effect of "Let's have fun." And for 45 minutes of aerobics, I have fun, break a sweat, and feel great.
  • Firm 5-Day Stretch -- What a great way to end a workout. You get a good stretch and a motivating way to start the day.
  • Jane Fonda's Lean Routine -- You can't do the Crunch Master Class Aerobics every day, and it's nice to work out with Jane, Laurel and Jeanie. The choreography is fun, and I feel great when I'm done.
  • Charlene Prickett's Low Impact, High Intensity -- This video is pure energy. Charlene gets me into super-high knee-lifts, jump-squats, and side leg lifts that make me feel super-charged by the time I'm done.

  • Cathe Friedrich's Step Fit -- I love the flying angels and the long, relaxing stretch at the end.
  • The Firm's Tough Tape and Lie Down & Workout -- I always do these two tapes together to make one of the most complete weight workouts I do.

  • Firm Tough Tape: I like the Firm tapes that do the majority of firming standing because i feel like I get a better "aerobic" workout along with the total body strengthening. I was sore for a week after I did this tape the first time!
  • Strong and Smooth Moves: I can't keep up a strong intensity yet, so I still need some "intermediate" aerobic tapes and this one is great. I love the setting.
  • Bryan Kest's Power Yoga Vol. 1: This is the best yoga tape on the market. "Feel the stretch," he says and you can. He holds a pose longer than most instructors so you can concentrate on forms and work deeper. Love it!

  • Kathy Smith Great buns & thighs -- I love the music & her energy
  • Kari Anderson Fitness Formula -- I could never think of being without the motivation that Kari Anderson dishes up in her video. I feel so good after that workout,it's perfect for a desert island.
  • Gilad 's Sculpt & Tone -- for my regular Sunday workout , not too much chatting just body sculpting non-stop. No dancing just sweating. Those are the ideal workout tapes for me.

  • Strongheart, The Firm: -- This was the first of the duo tapes that I bought, and I love it! The time flies when I use it, and the combination with Strongbody is excellent!
  • Vol. 4, The Firm: -- Great for when I have to cut time short to stroll the beach with handsome natives!
  • The Firm, Standing Legs: -- Terrific and excruciating workout for great looking legs!
  • Vol. 6, The Firm: -- I enjoy Jayne Poteet's instruction style. This was tough!!!!
